Senario - You have been working as an IT support technician at Cyber Solutions for just over a year. Your supervisor has asked you to develop the management and support infrastructure for a new branch office that the company is opening. This office will have around 10 IT users who will have networked PCs and a computer where shared files will be held. There will also be 1 networked printer. All users will have access to the internet. (Because you are setting up a mock system, you will have less computers on your setup).
Tasks
One computer should provied 3 shared folders for other users on the system. These folders are:
A general folder, a polices and procedures folder and a managment folder.
Users are deviced into, junior staff, managers and directors. Everyone should have full access to the general folder.
Junior staff should have read only access to the polices and procedures folder and to the managment folder.
Managers should have read only access to the policys and procedures folder and to the managment folder. Directors should have full access to all folders.
All users as a standerd should have the company logo as the background to the desktop.
On the desktop their should be a company logo of your choice. And there should be shortcut icons to a range of software including word processing, spredsheet software, calculator and file explorer.

Resolve user issues
Can't connect to internet - Make
sure that eathernet cable is securly plugged into device or device is
correctly connected to the network over wifi. If both of these are
correctly done try and dissconect the eathernet/WIFI from the device and
try again. This should resolve the issue. If issue is still percistant
please conact support via a ticket.
Page will not print - Make
sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the network. Check
that your device is connected to the network and is picking up the
printer. Double check all of the printer settings in your software to
see if anything looks odd. If still not fixed contact support.
Shortcut to my files not working - Delete
the inital shortcut and search for the program into the searchbar at
the bottom of the screen. Then rightcick on the software and click
"create desktop shortcut"
My screen is displayed upside down - To
restore the screen you need to right click on the desktop and then
select display settings (Bare in mind that all mouse and keyboard
controls will apear backwords) then select the upside down display. Go
down to the screen oriantation section and choose landscape. If you are
having problems please contact support.
Desktop Background has changed - To
restore the desktop background navigate to the general folder and find
the image called "Background.png" and then right click and "set as
backgorund"
Screen icons are too small - to
incresse the size of the screen icons right click on the desktop and
select display settings. Then go to scaling and then increse or decrese
as much as you feel like.
